You must apply for a certain time period or periods on your application, so be sure you plan your trip right from the application process. Don’t risk getting approved for a time period that doesn’t work with your schedule!
For the 2008 season, the season consists of the following time periods:
April 16 to 20
April 23 to 27
April 30 to May 4
May 7 to 11

The DNR would like hunter to be aware that this spring, turkey permits will not be issued using the lottery drawing, as in previous years. This year, any permits remaining after the initial drawing will be issued on a first come, first served basis. These permits will be available from any license sales location, online, or by telephone. The price for those permits is $10 for Wisconsin residents and $15 for nonresidents.
